I, long vertical tear to left hand edge N2 in same vol., possibly original paper flaw, several gatherings a little proud in binding. Full contemporary sprinkled calf, raised & gilt banded spines, red morocco labels, gilt vol. numbers, small gilt device in each compartment. From the Library of Invercauld Castle, Braemar.ESTC T71886; Courtney, p.38. Hazen, pp.94-98. First edition. The dedication, and almost certainly the penultimate chapter are by Samuel Johnson.
