Gilt top page edges, uncut on the bottom pages and end pages, with some pages also unopened (please see photos) Impressive books that contain all of the works of Mr Ruskin. The hand made linen rag paper used for these books has an amazing feel to it. Limited to 2000 copies for sale, with another 62 given to universities, important public figures, libraries and museums. The last volume contains a bibliography, a catalogue of the manuscripts, and a full index to Ruskin┬┐s works. John Ruskin (1819-1900) This edition remains the only fully complete & collected edition of Ruskin's works We are putting these for sale at what we consider a low price. The Works of Ruskin, Library Edition, is a popular item and can be found online, with prices ranging from $5,000 for damaged copies to over $25,000 for great copies (hopefully never opened). Finding these in undamaged condition is rare, as a lot of them have been damaged from library use, not being looked after, or even some volumes lost over the years. So there are a few out there, but you should be aware that condition dictates the asking price. There are a few minor scuff marks to the spines and boards of these volumes, some very minor foxing and the previous owners name written inside the cover - very faint, but it is there and there is one volume that will need a little glue to the front cloth. I am not in the habit of trying to fix books myself before I sell them. Photos are available if requested. I rate these books as in great condition. Used, but never abused. . These volumes have no sun fading to the spines, no pages missing, no water damage of any type, no broken spines, no loose pages, no looseness in the spines, no wear on the gilt titles. A good honest and solid set of The Works of Ruskin. These books when you find them, no matter the binding, are all from the same "Library Edition" if you see that they are "limited to 2062 copies" as stated on the 3rd page of each volume.
