Contains [xvi] 318 printed pages of text with monochrome photographs throughout. Appendix closes the book with Erich's 'Victory Credits Record'. Fine condition book in Fine condition dust wrapper, not price clipped 45s. Label attached to the title page SIGNED 'Erich Hartmann'. Erich flew 1,404 combat missions and participated in aerial combat on 825 separate occasions. He claimed, and was credited with, shooting down 352 Allied aircraft, 345 Soviet and 7 American, while serving with the Luftwaffe. During the course of his career, he was forced to crash-land his damaged fighter 14 times due to damage received from parts of enemy aircraft he had just shot down or mechanical failure. He was never shot down or forced to land due to enemy fire. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, it does not adhere to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A.
