This is a fascinating book which attempts to reconcile Sacred Records with scientific discovery. It is a critical examination of passages in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures, chiefly with a view to the solution of the question whether the varieties of the human species are of more than one origin. There is also a supplementary compendium of Chapter headings which cover the physical, chronological, historical, and philogical observations, relating to ethnology. This work explains in detail the causes of the diversity of the different races, and traces the history of each from its source, as they relate to sacred and scientific research. This is an important book, and a very scarce title. Tight copy, in remarkably excellent condition for year. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
