Presented to the House of Commons, June 1793.
London: J. Debrett. 1793. 8vo., (4) + 312pp., contemporary calf, edges of the boards scorched (?) and darkened, neatly rebacked with raised bands and label lettered gilt. A good copy from the library of the 9th Duke of Bedford at Woburn Abbey> with the armorial bookplate dated 1873 on pastedown. Goldsmiths 15660. This is a complete collection of the ten individual reports presented to Parliament by the 'Commissioners appointed by an Act of Parliament to inquire into the fees, gratuities, perquisites, and emoluments, which are or have been lately received in the several Public Offices therein mentioned; to examine into any abuses which may exist in the same; and to repair such observations as shall occur to them, for the better conducting and managing the business transacted in the said offices'. The reports are forensic and detailed.
