Interior browned and a bit stained; very good copy.. 12mo, recent brown cloth spine, marbled boards, printed paper label. Biggs served as a volunteer officer under Miranda during his first expedition, and this work (which went through four quick Boston editions and a London edition) remains an important standard account of the affair. Early pencil sketch on a front blank, facing the title; ink signature at the head of the title page.
