New York: Cosmopolitan Book Company. 1931. First. First edition. xii, [2], 289, [1] pp. 22.5 cm. Illustrated with printed photographs (plates). Quarter cloth and publishers' pictorial paper boards, printed paper spine label, without dustwrapper. Near fine, with the front flap of the dustwrapper laid in. Inscribed by the author to the great boxing champion: "For, Gene and Polly Tunney, with affection, from their friend, Charles Hanson Towne, New York, November 14, 1931." A noted author and poet, Towne was the quintessential New Yorker. He edited many important magazines, including the Smart Set, Delineator, Designer, McClure's, and Harper's Bazaar. .
