The Journal of Health Conducted by an Association of Physicans Volume I
Philadelphia: Stereotyped by L. Johnson. 1830. Stated "4th Improved Edition" (apparently adds "Extra" at the end, and the lithographed frontispiece). Volume I, numbers 1-24. Tall octavo. 390; 4 (Extra to the Journal of Health). Contemporary cloth with printed spine label. Modest foxing in text, slight and small chips on the spine label, else near fine. Of particular interest is the frontispiece illustration by Childs of three figures, a child with a hoop, a young man with a golf club and ball, and an old man with a walking stick, with the caption: "By various sports, O'er hills, through vallies, and by rivers' brink, is life both sweeten'd and prolong'd". The engraving is usually lacking. Lamozow 238 .
