First edition, first printing. The author's first book. Fifteen weird tales, including the noted ghost story, "The Traveller." Religious ghost stories, dogmatism offset by strong atmosphere, especially "The Watcher," "The Blood-Eagle," "Poena Damni," and "The Traveller."
