This copy has an old. unprinted glassine wrapper which may be original to this issue of the. book. Among the major British post-World War One scientific romances.. Rare. (#147778). First edition. Limited to 500 copies of which this is number two of ten numbered copies, signed and dated 29 May 1930 by "Miles." Southwold's first novel, later reissued under his Neil Bell byline. "The elixir of life is invented and all the babies are killed. In 1990 the earthly paradise is ruled by an all-seeing bureaucracy." - Gerber, Utopian Fantasy (1973), p. 151.
