Two vols., each comprised of introductory text in English and French facing (22 and 15 pp.), containing information on various types and epicenters of Pueblo pottery and detailed descriptions of plates, accompanying 100 total color reproductions of Pueblo pottery, 50 fine full-page color lithograph plates in each volume. Folio. Boards portfolios, another illustration mounted on front cover of each, contents loose as issued, spines slightly shaken, leather rubbed. Nice (C. Szwedzicki) 1933-1936. Each volume signed by the publisher. Between 1929 and 1952, C. Szwedzicki produced six portfolios of North American Indian art. This two-volume set contains lithographs from drawings by Kenneth Chapman of pieces in the collection of the Indian Arts Fund at the Laboratory of Anthropology in Santa Fe. Volume I covers the pottery of Taos, Picuris, San Juan, Santa Clara, San Ildefonso, Tesuque, Cochiti, Santo Domingo, and Santa Ana, while Volume II covers Tsia, Acoma, Zuñi, and Hopi pieces.
