HARDBACK, full later blind-embossed calf, with gilt lettering on red spine label, frontispiece, unpaginated, uncut but opened, many illus. 146mm x 190mm (5.75" x 7.5"), head and tail lightly rubbed, former owner's notes (handwritten in script) and 'brass-rubbings' of coins on original end-papers which are brown, with chips at edges and missing small parts of corners, another former owner's bookplate on new front end-paper, title-page and frontispiece slightly soiled with small ink mark on title-page (not affecting text), fore-edge of title-page and frontispiece uncut, occasional light marginal marks on pages, otherwise a very fine copy.
