Engraved frontispiece of Sterne protected by tissue-guard in volume I, frontispiece in vol. X. Tight ten volume set with the works of Anglo-Irish novelist and Anglican clergyman, Laurence Stern. Illustrated with full-page engravings by I. K. Sherwin, J. Collyer, P. W. Tomkins, Heath, after paintings by W. Hogarth, E. Edwards, and M. Rooker. Minor age wear on bindings, head and tail of spines on few volumes slightly chipped. Ex-libris of Walter Jennings on inside of front board. Dated signature of previous owner on blank leaf preceding title-page. Bindings in overall good+, interior in very good condition.
