Marvelous illustrations by Florence Kate Upton, (1873 - 1922) English illustrator and cartoonist known most for her series of children's books, the Golliwogg series.Oblong 4to, 62pp, color illustrations. Quarter cloth and pictorial boards, with title in red and black at front board, no title at spine. Boards a bit aged, a small part of the bottom of the pages has a blue spot which does not affect the pages. There are no markings in the book, however, it does have some scribbles on the blank inner pages. Not on the actual written book. This really is a wonderful copy covered in a plastic cover. Well preserved. Tiny tear on one corner of the page (upper corner) but general wear. Still an exceptional copy of this book. Binding loosened a bit but still tight pages!.
