Rainbow, London, 1973. Original full purple morocco by Zaehnsdorf, top edge gilt, cloth slip-case. Spine very slightly faded, otherwise a fine fresh copy in like slip-case. First Edition. Limited to 160 copies (this being # 144) printed on Italian paper, bound by Zaehnsdorf, and signed by Hughes on the colophon page and by Baskin in the margin of the frontispiece. Additionally inscribed by the Author on the front free end-paper: To Janos/ from Ted/ with much love/ February 1974. [Janos Csokits (who died in 2011) was a Hungarian poet close to both Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath. With Ted Hughes he was co-translator of another 20th-century Hungarian poet, János Pilinszky].
