[Oxford]: Theatrou en Oxonia, en to etou, 1676. I am limited to 12 photos on eBay, but I have many more photos on my website...just ask. Homer, a legendary Greek poet, is responsible for two of the most memorable poems of mythology, the 'Odyssey' and the 'Iliad'. These two poems focus on Greek mythological heroes, their military conquests, and involvement in the Trojan War. Each of these titles have been printed and reprinted countless times. This 1676 Oxford edition of the 'Iliad' is printed entirely in Greek and was the first edition of Homer published in any language at Oxford. It includes the 1st-century commentary on Homer of Didymus Calcenterus as well as "Life of Homer", which is attributed to Herodotus. [Attributes: First Edition]
