In fair condition. Vellum is browned and worn with staining. Head and base of spine are pursed exposing underlying binding. Old hand spine label. Text block is toned without marking. Pages 419-430 are detached from block, but intact. As a result edges of said pages are frayed/curled. Small patches of worm damage in rear text. Mild dampness staining on a few pages. Binding is intact. Please see photos. A scarce imprint. Great printer's device depicting skulled cherubs, unusual for a medical text. This was printed many times throughout the 17th-18th centuries with the first edition printed in 1623. It was the first elementary treatise on anatomy for French students.
