Frost, Robert
Mountain Interval
New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1916. First Edition. Very Good. First edition, first printing, first issue. An association copy, signed by Robert Frost and warmly inscribed on the front free endpaper to his longtime friend Charles Oliphant, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Methuen, Massachusetts. The first issue errors are present and have here been hand-corrected by Frost: a line repeated on page 88, and "come" instead of "gone" on page 93. Bound in publisher's dark blue cloth stamped in gilt; lacking the dust jacket. Very Good with cloth lightly marked, and with a series of indents to the front cover, spine darkened, cloth worn at corners and spine ends. Offsetting from binder's glue to endsheets, pages toned. Includes such classic poems as "The Road Not Taken," "Birches," "'Out, Out--" and "The Sound of Trees.
