He arrived in Roanoke and vividly described the plants, animals, resources and peoples of the area. The work was hugely influential and lead to further English expeditions and their eventual population of the East Coast of America. The work is divided into three parts -The first describes "merchantable commodities", such as silk, hemp, furs and oils - The second "Flora and Fauna of the Reigon", including fruits, fish and animals - The Third the native Algonquian tribe of the region including their housing, diet and ceremonies Rare opportunity to obtain the 1st Latin edition of this seminal work of Americana.
