Collins, London, 1934. First UK Edition. Publisher's maroon boards with silver lettering to the spine. A neat name and date on the FFEP otherwise a fine copy in a VG+ 7/6 net D/W with several, short (closed) tears and creasing/miniscule wear to the spine tips. David Hume was a pseudonym for John V. Turner (1900-1945), who also wrote under his own name and as Nicholas Brady. His series sleuth (wriiten under the David Hume pen name) is Mick Cardby, a private detective in the hard-boiled vein.
