Forty full colour tipped-in illustrations, all under red-captioned tissues, and numerous black and white drawings, silhouettes and vignettes by Arthur Rackham, this volume is profusely illustrated and decorated. The text and black and white illustrations are on English hand-made paper, which is textured and thick, similar to Arches or Fabriano. Quarto. Top Edge Gilt, others uncut. Hand tooled binding of red morocco with gilt design to upper cover and gilt spine. Book condition: An superb copy. The exterior is in very good condition as shown. A little bit of scattered light spotting to upper margin of some pages, a few tissues with a slight age wrinkle. The binding is in fine condition, all 40 fine lithograph plates are in perfect condition without creases or marks. Collated and complete with lithographs, a scarcity in such pleasant and clean condition and in a unique and festive binding.
