Otto Glasser, Ed
The Science of Radiology
Charles C. Thomas, 1933. Cloth. A wonderful Association copy: INSCRIBED IN YEAR-OF-PUBLICATION BY DR. WILLIAM COOLIDGE, RENOWNED GENERAL ELECTRIC SCIENTIST WHO INVENTED NOT ONLY THE X-RAY TUBE BUT ALSO THE TUNGSTON LAMP, AND WHO OVERSAW THE GE RESEARCH LABORATORY IN SCHNECTADY, NY DURING THE CRITICAL DEPRESSION YEARS OF THE 1930S. A very solid copy to boot of the 1933 1st edition. Clean and Near Fine in a crisp, VG example of the uncommon original dustjacket, with light chipping --and several very small closed tears-- alomg the tips and the panel edges. Nicely illustrated throughout, with dozens and dozens of photogrpahs and figures. An impressive, very presentable copy -- even one-of-a-kind, given the book's connection to Dr. Coolidge. Near Fine / Very Good. [Attributes: First Edition; In Dust Jacket]
