IZACKE, Richard
Antiquities of the city of Exeter.
London: E. Tyler and R. Holt, 1677. I am limited to 12 photos on eBay, but I have many more photos on my website...just ask. Richard Izacke was a 17th-century English historian who lived and studied in the city of Exeter. While there, he published his most important book, 'Antiquities of the City of Exeter', the best account of the Devonshire, England. This 1677 first edition includes illustrations of family crests and coats-of-arms in Devon. Note that this example includes the highly desirable folding map of the full city of Exeter. [Attributes: First Edition]
