Title-page and last page of text somewhat soiled, otherwise interior is very good other than the missing leaves. Lacks the final 6 pages and leaf of advertisements. There is a very early ownership inscription on the title verso; a later owner noted in pencil that there is no copy in five famous medical collections, including the Osler Library and Garrison-Morton Medical Bibliography. This book has 176 pages. First Edition of the third book on opium in the English language, preceded by works of Sydenham and Jones.
