Faded to spine, rebacked (the original gutta percha was perished, so the textblock was separated to individual leaves, the spine debris cleaned off and the pages glued back together; the cloth case was then rebacked, which required an insert of new cloth underneath the old). Light brown coated endpapers. Light marks and spotting to prelims and extrems. Conway in the Stereoscope. 8vo. (7.75 x 5 inches). pp.x, (ii), 187, 16 (adverts, dated January 1st, 1860). Half title present. 20 numbered albumen stereographs, with guards. Publisher's maroon cloth gilt, which appears closer to brown than the maroon of the digital image). Designed by John Leighton (letters JL to heart shape on upper board).
