Derek Verschoyle. 1954. First Edition. 192 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt illustration to front and gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white, colour photographic and illustrated plates. Pages remain mostly clear with light foxing and occasional marking. Heavier foxing and thumb marking to endpapers and title pages. Small pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Light creasing to bottom right corner affecting entire text block. Binding is slightly loose, causing pages to be shaky. Plates are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing. Boards are moderately marked and stained and have mild edge wear, slight bumping and fraying to corners. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Heavy black marks with brown staining overall. Book is bowed and forward leaning. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
