Stoker, Bram
Grosset & Dunlap, New York, 1931. Photoplay edition, with illustrations from the Universal Pictures produced by Carl Laemmle, Jr. Red cloth printed in black on the spine and upper board. Four full page photographic illustrations. Some light foxing to the title page else a fine copy, the red cloth and black lettering vibrantly fresh. Ownership name on front pastedown dated 1931. The scarce dustwrapper is present. There are some short closed marginal tears along the edges, a crease on the rear, light rubbing and a nearly invisible scuff mark on the spine. In very good condition for this title, and highly presentable. The copyright page shows only the original publication date (1897), sometimes leading to confusion in the date of the Photoplay Edition. The Universal Pictures release took place in 1931, and this is also the date Petaja ascribes. Petaja, p. 73. [Attributes: Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
