The book measures 5.5" x 8.25", 443 pages. With a first printing dust jacket. The dust jacket is in fair condition. Heavy creasing to the panels with tears and chips at the edges. Large piece of the spine missing at the bottom and onto the front panel. Chipping at the joints and flap folds. Tape repairs made to the verso at the flap folds and joints. The original price of $2.75 present on the front flap. The book is in very good condition. The green cloth boards are well preserved. Sunning to the board edges and especially at the bottom of the spine. Previous owner's writing on the front paste-down in ink. The front board is cracked at the hinge. The textblock is gently toned but clean and bright with sound binding. Previous bookstore's sticker on the rear paste-down. A nice copy of this American classic.
