Tight copies with bindings in overall very good & interior in exceptionally good condition. Rare complete set of daily news-sheets published by the Press Department of the Soviet Embassy in London. Most of the issues have Stalin's "Order of the Day" to his generals on front page. Each volume with index in alphabetical order. Fascinating piece of World War II. Russian propaganda with thousands of articles. Vol. 1: July 11, 1941 to Oct. 10, 1941 (Nos. 1-79). Marbled endpapers. Illustrated with many b/w annotated reproductions of photographs, divided into 8 photographic supplements throughout. Vol. 2: October 11, 1941 to January 10, 1942 (Nos. 80-155). Vol. 3: January 12, 1942 to April 10, 1942. (Nos. 156-229). Vol. 4: April 11, 1942 to July 10, 1942 (Nos. 230-305). "The Signal from Prague", Wednesday, June 3, headline on Heydrich's assassination. Friday, April 24th issue has 6" x 2" piece of top edge on page 3 missing, slightly affecting first line of text, still readable. Vol. 5: July 11, 1942 to October 10, 1942 (Nos. 306-383). Vol. 6: October 12, 1942 to January 9, 1943 (Nos. 384-458). Vol. 7: January 11, 1943 to April 10, 1943 (Nos. 459-535).
