Dalzel was Governor at Cape Coast Castle, the notorious slave trading hub on the coast of present day Ghana. Contemporary half speckled calf and marbled boards, expertly restored, speckled edges. Laid into a green cloth dropbox. Neatly repaired tear at lower plate mark of folding map, minor foxing to plates and scattered through text, a handsome copy. Housed in clamshell case With engraved folding map and 6 copper-engraved plates. xxvi, [4], xxxii, 230 pp. 4to [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
