Tappan Zee Edition of Washington Irving's Works 12 Volume Complete Set 1865 Rare
New York: knickerbocker press putnam, 1865. I have attempted to include many photos of this rare set. Please see the description where I will go through each book and comment on its condition. You get all 12 of the complete collection each about 5.75" tall x 4" wide These show a 1865 date on each inside page - I think that is when they are printed but I am not an expert on that. Let me look at each of these (with clean hands) and tell you how they looks Sketch Book (two volumes) First one has the name in pencil "Helen something" written on the first blank leading page.The spine is intact. Pages are yellowed appropriately with age and this book I would call "good Sketch Book 2 First page has Helen written in pencil and about 1.25" x .75inches of pencil written note on first page. Spine intact, some dust on the outside pages, lower left corner and bottom is scuffed and bent slightly worn thru the floral finish a bit Tales of a Traveler (2 volumes) First Volume:spine intact. Upper front and back corners are worn through to underlying cardboard backing, still looks period correct 2nd volume: spine intact, all four outer corners worn thru to cardboard, still looks period correct to me Woolferts roost: spine intact, 4 corners worn through to cardboard, not bad Knickerbokers New York Vol 1: Spine intact, Rear corners worn through to cardboard, front's better, some dust on outside of pages History of New york Vol 2: spine intact, lower outside corner worn thru to cardboard and bent inward slightly, other corners mild wear Bracebridge Hall: Spine intact, upper edge of front cover i … [Click Below for Full Description]
