The first bookplate is that of John Boyle, the 5th Earl of Orrery. He was a writer and a friend of Jonathan Swift, Alexander Pope and Samuel Johnson. The Second Bookplate is that of the Bishop of Bangor. This series contains Seneca's prose works only, including his 'Dialogi', 'Naturales Quaestiones' and 'Epistulae Morales ad Lucilium'. It does not include his tragedies. The missing volume contained his De Clementia.
