Berkeley: 1971. Complete run of THE ORGAN newspaper ~[Various] Gerard Van der Leun, Robert Crumb, William Burroughs, Tom Veitch, &co.~ Berkeley, Himalayan Watershed Properties, 1971. Complete run of nine (9) issues. All in Near Fine condition. Tabloid newspaper format: 8.5 x 11.5 in. and folding out to 11.5 x 17 in. The Organ was a counter-culture tabloid newspaper published in San Francisco and containing essays and interviews on art, comics, culture, drugs, and the occult. Notable contributors to the magazine include William Burroughs, Robert Crumb, Tom Veitch, and interviews feature the likes of Kenneth Anger, Jerry Garcia, Allen Ginsberg, Paul Morrissey, and B.B. King. All issues are in unread condition with some age toning to paper. Issues have been stored folded which have left each issue with a "hard" centerfold. Else an attractive set and quite scarce.
