New York, NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1920. Book. Very good+ condition. Hardcover. First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. [viii], 305 pages of text. Original dark green cloth boards with minor shelfwear including a few tiny and minor scuffs. No dustjacket; protected in archival mylar. Four leaves (pp173/174 + 175+176 and pp193/194 + 195/196) were uncut and unopened for a short length on the bottom edge and now either lack a small corner and/or have a small tear. The rear endpapers are lightly foxed. The text is clean and unmarked. First edition, first issue with the Scribner's seal on the copyright page and a publishing date of April, 1920. The publisher was not placing the letter "A" on the copyright page as a first edition indicator until 1930. Fitzgerald's first book, "remarkable for its honest and detailed descriptions of the early Jazz Age." One of only 3000 copies published. Reference: Bruccoli A5.I.a. . [Attributes: First Edition]
