A presentation volume to a Lady Burton dated October 6, 1819, a benefactor who contributed to the building of the Chapel of the School for the Blind in Liverpool. DOUBLE FORE-EDGE PAINTINGS, both humoresque, one side a cricket match, the other side a skating scene. Leather bound on BOTH SIDES OF BOTH COVERS, all with the same elegant Victorian gilt decorations. No publisher or date. Printed and bound by G. CRUICKSHANK. The only person I found with the same name at that time was the famous British illustrator, caricaturist, and publisher George Cruickshank. 9 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 5/8 in. A most attractive and rare volume.
