Large Oversized folio. Very attractive green full morocco binding with wide gold dentelles and gold lettering. Wide decorative inner & outer gt. dentelles. Marbled endpapers. Size 50cm x 32cm In excellent condition. Very clean inside overall, with just very occasionally some foxing / off -setting. Most plates are completely clean of foxing, a few a bit tanned. No ownership inscriptions. Some very minor rubbing to edges, & a few very light scuff to back boards. A STUNNING SET. Approx. 124 steel-engr.plates / plans, etc., all present as called for. A.e.g. Includes EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED by Beautifully Hand Colouring of 328 Coats of ARMS. Although stating on the title page that a map is present, this does not seem to have been issued with the third edition (see Squibb: The Plates in Hutchins' History of Dorset). Pictures sell!
