For this work, George Smeeton used 'Ward's London Spy' as his model in compiling the work. Very scarce, with only two copies on LibraryHub, held at the British library and Senate House. With the bookplate of one Edwardi Jackson to the front pastedown. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Written by George Smeeton, an English printer and compiler of biographical collections. A very scarce work. CONDITION In a half calf binding. Externally, worn. Rubbing to the boards and to the spine. Tape repair to the spine, joints and hinges. Lacking spine label. Front hinge has failed with the endpapers and title page adhered to front pastedown. Back strip is lifting from the text block. Dedication leaf detached but present.
