In the original Latin. This work comprises of Appianus' history of Rome which narrates the history of the romans from the time of the Gracchan tribunates. It is one of thefew comprehensive histories available on the transition of the Roman state from Republic to Empire. The second part of this work os Velleius' history and looks at the city's foundation until AD29. It is detailed in the late republic and early Empire period. Collated, lacking the final two leaves, C5 and C6. C6 is a blank. This copy has also been bound without 2A1 and 2A2, which are the preliminary leaves to the second part. The University of Manchester copy cites a separate title page to 2a1r. This copy is lacking 2a1 and 2a2 and therefore does not have the separate title page. A scarce history of Rome.
