Kent: Printed at the Private Press of Lee Priory, 1813. 20 pp. The Characters of Robert Devereux, Earl of Essex, and George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham. Kent: Printed at the private Press of Lee Priory, 1814. 37 pp. All three items bound together in quarter black cloth over marbled paper, all edges gilt. Poems of Margaret Cavendish and Characters with original front paper wrap bound in. Life of Maragaret Cavendish and Characters both limited to 100 copies; Poems of Margaret Cavendish limited to 25, printed for private distribution and not offered for sale. Brydges founded Lee Priory Press in 1813. The Poems of Margaret Cavendish was the first title printed at the press; the Life of Margaret Cavendish was the third item printed in 8vo, and Characters was the seventh item printed in 8vo. All three titles seemingly scarce - I don't find any of the three currently listed through ViaLibri. One recent auction record for Life of Margaret Cavendish (2012) appears on RBH; the only record for Characters I find on RBH dates from 1968, and I did not find any RBH records for Poems.
