Single page (p.75) of hand-made “Flower” paper with six-line initial at head, designed by William Morris for his press, engraved by William Harcourt Hooper. The present sheet originally accompanied the prospectus for the work, sent out in February that year—but interest among subscribers was insufficient to proceed with the work, and it was never published [Peterson 194 for the book itself]. [Peterson (D1 (5)]. Sometime folded, light soiling and handling marks, chip to left margin, and pinhole at head of same. Condition overall: Good+.
