Comprehensive documentation on the prehistory and course of the Palatinate uprising that broke out in May 1849 against the Bavarian government and for a Palatinate imperial directness. Martin Reichard was one of the main instigators of the uprising and was sentenced to death in absentia. Reichard had previously been elected as a committed democrat in the Frankfurt National Assembly in 1848 and as President and Minister of War of the Provisional Government of the Palatinate in 1849. After the violent suppression of the uprising by the Prussian army, Reichard was able to flee to Switzerland in time and finally emigrate to America, where he ran a hotel until his death in 1872. - The first part contains on 125 pages the "Excerpt from the register of judgments of the royal court of appeal Zweibrücken", the second part with 295 pages the actual indictment "Indictment Act". - The "Palatinate Uprising" (2.
