Language: German Order number: 119356 Remarks: * Very rare liberal and independent Lucerne newspaper edited by Andreas Weber. In the present the copy of the publisher, at the back are the original handwritten process files as well as the official summons in a defamation process in 1845 by Jakob Bucher (plaintiff) against the editor Andreas Weber. The lawsuit was for lies and defamation in issues 1 and 2 of 1845 (bound at the back). On 12 handwritten pages is the trial protocol and the court decision with the seal and signature of the court president (the editor was acquitted here (but there were further lawsuits from 1846 to 1850 due to press offenses). - The newspaper "Narrator of Lucerne" only appeared in the pre-March 1845-1848. It was issued twice a week and contained Swiss (patriotic), regional (Lucerne) and foreign news. The editor writes with wit and liberal free spirit. For example, with a cheeky pen he comments on a note from Germany that King Max of Bavaria has offered a price of 100 ducats for the question "How can the need of the lower classes be remedied?": "I answered you: The hardship of the lower classes is remedied quite simply and infallibly by abolishing the superiors ... and if you wanted to do the rehearsal … [Click Below for Full Description]
