Very scarce complete set. Uniformly bound. Expertly rebacked. Blind stamped decoration, with gilt lettering and decoration. Old marbled boards. Rubbing to the extremities, with some heavier wear to the original leather corners. Page-edges tanned. Each volume shows similar browned areas to the end-papers, with the bookplate of the late Ron Fiske of Morningthorpe Manor present to each front pastedown. Similar old ink inscription showing to the verso of each frontispiece. Scattered light foxing here and there, with some heavier foxing around some of the engraved plates. All of the 60 plates (one folding) have been given new clean tissue-guards. See all 12 images for condition and content. Size. 12mo. 7 x 4.25 inches [019].
