1673 Sanderson Episcopacy LAW Catholic vs Protestant England Wenceslaus Hollar
London: for Robert Pawlett, 1673. I am limited to 12 photos on eBay, but I have many more photos on my website...just ask. Wenceslaus Hollar Robert Sanderson was a 17th-century English theologian who published and important treatise on the balance of power between the King and the Church of England. Sanderson discusses both civil and ecclesiastical law, court proceedings, and whether the rulings of civil or ecclesiastical cases should be contrary to one another. It also provides a historical context of the laws established by Henry VIII to control the power of the Pope as well as Protestants. This book includes a portrait frontispiece by the famous Wenceslaus Hollar.
