Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1893. Thoreau's Writings complete in this 11 volume "New Riverside Edition," published by Houghton Mifflin in 1893-94 -- 8 by 5 inches in the original green cloth bindings with gilt titling to the spines. An early owner, unfortunately, decided to stamp his name on the endpages and 1/2 titles of each volume (!) but, more fortunately, the stamp was only 1/16 inch high and his name wasn't terribly long. Otherwise this set is in nice fresh Very Good condition with top edges gilt and the contents clean and unmarked.
