1922. Original heavy black Morocco with high-quality 2 post piano binding and hinges holding heavy black photo mounting leaves. Front- and endpapers marbled. Original photographic album containing 581 4" x 6" portraits, most autographed, of the membership of the St. Louis Junior Chamber of Commerce. This album of the 1922 membership of the Junior Chamber, which quickly grew after its October 13, 1915 founding by Henry "Hy" Giessenbrier Jr (1892-1935) at the Mission Inn in St. Louis to become a large association --the Jaycees-- of influential young leaders, with chapters on every continent. Photographed and produced at the Ashen-Brenner Studios of the noted Sidney Ashenbrenner in St. Louis. This scarce antiquarian album was presented to Mayor Henry Kiel, from whose library this derives. Oblong folio. 23.5" x 15.5". 78 pp. Very Good Plus. There is minor edgewear, some corners are worn.
