Wendell Berry

A subtle and precise product of Bob Baris's Press on Scroll Road -- perfectly in tune with Berry's early cycle of poems, written from his cabin overlooking the Kentucky River. From Hall's foreword: "All taken together they sound like what they do, not what they say: the author is throwing dice, the stakes are high: his long wrists are loose, he's on a roll."
