Philip Pullman, 'His Dark Materials', UK signed first edition, Northern Lights

Philip Pullman (1995, 1997, 2000) 'His Dark Materials' trilogy comprised of 'Northern Lights' (1995); 'The Subtle Knife' (1997); and 'The Amber Spyglass' (2000), published by Scholastic in the UK. All three volumes are first editions, first printings, and all three volumes are signed by Pullman on the title page. All books were signed to us in person at a literature event in Oxford. Condition: 'Northern Lights' is in very good condition with light shelf wear. There is a neat previous owner's name written on the top corner of the ffep. The dust jacket is first state with the correct Pratt Street address, and is not faded, and not price clipped. The dust jacket has some creases and and the spine's foot a sticker was removed at some point which shows a little ghosting. The 'Subtle Knife' is in near fine condition in an unclipped dust jacket. 'The Amber Spyglass' is in fine condition with no flaws whatsoever. Notice that ebay only allows to upload 12 images. We have more upon request. 'Northern Lights' had a very low first print run of reportedly 1,000 copies only. A big chunk of those books ended up in libraries with the usual stamps. Sometimes dealers camouflage this by attaching signed bookplates over the stamps. Our copies on offer are free of any stamps and are definitely NOT ex-library copies! Philip Pullman won the Carnegie Medal and the Carnegie of Carnegies for 'Northern Lights'. He is also recipient of the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Award.
