Originally the property of one Rosina Catherine Meyer and subsequently (according to the pencil annotations) purchased from a dealer and added to by Alexander Munro. In his hand we see many inscriptions and a family tree, letters addressed to him from George Cruikshank and a local MP. Much relates to Blackfriars in London. Hand drawn sketches, a poster or leaflet relating to the Great Dock Strike of 1889 and much more. A fascinating look at England and London in the late 1800's. Full leather binding with gilt decoration, externally sound and nicely kept, internally the hinges are cracked but holding, signs of Sellotape repairs but generally good and sound.
