Original vellum by Riviere and Son, spine lettered in gilt, covers richly panelled and decorated in gilt and blind, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With the original card case. With 5 plates by Paul Nash (4 with colour), and line blocks by Emery Walker; printed on Batchelor's Kelmscott hand-made paper. Case a little worn. Slight uneven discolouration to spine. An excellent copy. Signed limited edition, number 26 of 106 copies signed by the illustrator Paul Nash, the writer of the introduction Harley Granville-Barker, and the art editor Albert Rutherston. A further 500 unsigned trade copies were also issued. The text is taken from the First Folio of Shakespeare, with some orthographic modernization. A very attractive production.
